 Bay Insurance is proud to be a local, family-owned, independent insurance agency  That means we can offer quotes from various companies, to give you the coverage you need, at prices you can afford. Many of the companies we represent are Michigan only, with two of our homeowner's companies being headquartered in the Calumet area. Our community is important to us!

Agents

Family owned since 1991, when Roger Juntunen (now retired) founded the agency.
Trevor Juntunen is now the principle owner and agent. Trevor and his wife Val have three grown children, including a mentally handicapped daughter. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Great Lakes Mutual Insurance Company and The Baraga County Chamber of Commerce. He is also active with the Shriners and Masons, and as secretary in the Blue Lodge.

Cheryl Johnson is  a Licensed Agent and Customer Service Representative at our Houghton office. She retired, with 31 years, from Michigan Tech - Public Safety & Police Services and currently serves on the Lake Linden Housing Commission.

In addition to her office duties, Cheryl maintains our facebook pages and collaborates in marketing endeavors. Cheryl is also a Notary Public and offers notary services to our customers, free of charge!

CSR
TJ Juntunen (Trevor Jr) is moving back from Utah to join the Bay Insurance team! We are excited to have Bay Insurance continue as a family-run business. TJ will be starting out as a CSR to gain valuable experience. Priviously, TJ has worked in customer service and has office experience from working for the IRS.
